So I apparently need to take lessons on how to blog consistently. Whatever.
Summer has begun hardcore. I've fully adjusted to my new job (interning for admissions, woot woot!), and I've had my one visit home for the summer. Home was nice, but I'm coming to realize that it's not really "home" anymore, if that makes any sense. Anyone who heard Toni Morrison's talk at Oberlin in April will understand. Everyone else will just be left in the dark.
So yes. New job. My new job is fun. The other interns are nice, and we seem to be getting along well (some better than others). It's a fun job, isn't difficult (even when busy, nothing is hard to do), and pays okay, I guess. A job in CA would've paid more, but finding a job in CA would have been nearly impossible, so staying here was probably the right choice.
So I've decided that from now on I'm going to be "no-nonsense" Patrick. I'm not going to take anyone's crap, and I'm going to be honest and not do things that I don't want to do anymore. It's time for me to focus on me, and it's time for me to stop trying to please others all the time. It just isn't working anymore.
I apparently use the word "so" and the word "whatever" a lot. I don't really care. :P
On a completely different note, I'm currently on a Mariah Carey, Whintey Houston, Britney Spears, and Kelly Clarkson binge. It's pretty much the most amazing thing in the world. I made a playlist and everything. Be jealous.
So I'm bored now. So I'm going to stop blogging. Perhaps I will blog instead of sporcling during work (yes, I made sporcle...aka sporcle.com....into a verb. I'm just that amazing).
